Single boom portal crane is widely used in ports, docks, yards and other places to complete the loading, unloading and transshipment operations of ships and vehicles. Its design, manufacture and inspection implement DIN, FEM, IEC, AWS, GB and other domestic and foreign advanced standards and the latest national standards. Single boom portal crane is divided into two types: single boom and four-link boom type according to the structure of the boom. The single-boom portal crane has simple structure, large lifting capacity and light weight.
Single boom portal cranes are versatile and highly functional pieces of equipment that are extensively deployed in multiple industrial settings, particularly ports, docks, and yards.
In ports, which are bustling hubs of international trade, single boom portal cranes are a common sight. They are frequently utilized to handle the loading and unloading of ships. When large cargo ships pull into port, these cranes swing into action. Their long, sturdy single booms extend over the ship's deck. Equipped with robust lifting mechanisms, they can securely latch onto a variety of cargo types, ranging from standard shipping containers to large machinery parts. Once the cargo is firmly in its grasp, the crane smoothly hoists it from the ship and then carefully lowers it onto the dock. This allows for seamless transfer of goods from the sea - borne transport to the land - based infrastructure.
At docks, which are often used for smaller - scale shipping and local transportation, single boom portal cranes also play a vital role. They are used to load and unload smaller vessels, such as barges or fishing boats. The crane's flexibility enables it to handle different sizes and weights of cargo, whether it's fresh produce from fishing boats or construction materials being shipped to local projects. Additionally, it can load cargo onto trucks waiting at the dock, facilitating the onward movement of goods to their final destinations.
